Featured Speaker: Scott Vogel
Owner - Nothing Bundt Cakes / Ohana Ventures

Scott Vogel is a small business owner, community advocate, husband, and father of three. Before becoming an entrepreneur, he spent 17 years in product development and marketing with companies including SharkNinja, Keurig, and BISSELL. His journey took him to cities including Chicago, Boston, and Sydney before he and his wife, Christine, found their forever home in West Michigan.
Today, they own three Nothing Bundt Cakes bakeries, including Michigan’s first location. Their Christian faith shapes how they lead, serve, and live, with a simple business philosophy: People First → Purpose → Profit.
Since opening in 2017, their team has contributed more than $700,000 in cake and financial support to community organizations. Scott also serves on several local boards, including the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Foundation and Kent County Parks Foundation.
At the heart of Scott’s approach is a commitment to showing up for others, doing the work, choosing joy, and leaving every person and place better than he found them.

Title: Culture and Retaining Employees
Scott Vogel is a small business owner, community advocate, and entrepreneur whose leadership is shaped by his Christian faith and a commitment to putting people first. After 17 years in product development and marketing with companies like SharkNinja, Keurig, and Bissell, Scott and his wife, Christine, settled in West Michigan and built a business that now includes three Nothing Bundt Cakes bakeries. Guided by a simple philosophy of People First, then Purpose, then Profit, Scott will share insights from his leadership journey and explore how leaders can build a strong workplace culture, invest in their teams, and create an environment where employees want to stay and thrive.
